Hello readers! This week I had learnt 2 topics which were Evolution Of CALL and Search Engines And Online Database. So.. What is CALL?
CALL is computer-assisted language learning where it refers to the area of technology and second language teaching and learning. It also involves material designs, technologies, pedagogical theories and modes of instruction. While for the evolution of call basically my lecturer just briefly explained some history from the beginning of the CALL until it became modern nowadays.
Have you guys have any ideas what is Search Engines? Oh well.. I also just knew it hahaha LOL 😁
Search Engines is a web tool that allows user to enter keywords and find information on websites contained in its database. I found out that there are actually a lot of search engines other than Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Actually, I'd wondering what is the relation between the Internet and CALL and as for my concern, it is related because recent advances in CALL is dominated by the Internet to access and communicate information. Besides, I also understand that there are many search engines and varieties of ways we can use through this search engines and online database.
